5 Surprising Advantages of Virtual Interior Design

Virtual interior design can often be misconstrued as a less-than service compared to traditional interior design. While it can be true that virtual design is a more hands-off approach, it is absolutely just as advantageous, and perhaps even more so, for our less conventional clients.

I have a newfound passion for virtual interior design, and today, I'm going to share with you 5 surprising advantages that virtual design offers over traditional design…

#1: Work with Designers from Around the World

Virtual design allows for designers and clients to establish relationships globally as opposed to the local limitations of traditional design. There aren't any travel and/or mileage restraints, making the span of who you have to choose from to take on your project more immense. The photos shown are a good example when we worked with a client on their vacation home in Driggs, Idaho. Everything was selected through our virtual services.

Additionally, the virtual aspect allows for more collaboration and guidance, whereas traditional design requires the client to hand over the reins. Not only does this allow designers to work with a wider scope of clientele, but it also allows clients to have another outlet in which they can find answers to design areas in which they are overwhelmed or stuck but still want to be heavily involved overall.

#2: Save Time With A Flexible Design Process

Virtual design is a blessing when it comes to accommodating your time. These services are completed over a Zoom session , therefore, can be carried out from the comfort of your home and at a time that works in your schedule.

We utilize an app called Trello to share photos, dimensions & the final presentation. Here you can carry on a conversation throughout the process. While there are multiple benefits to traditional design, e-design allows for a more hands-off approach, allowing you to take the lead role and handle most aspects of the design process.

#3: Transform Your Space On A Budget

When it comes to your budget, virtual packages are a fraction of traditional costs, which makes design services a lot more accessible to a larger clientele. Virtual design is wonderful for clients who need to stay within a budget. Traditional design can also be a budget conscious experience, however, with this route, you pay an hourly designer's consultation fee for design, creating visual aids & project management, which creates some unknown costs.

With the virtual design, you can select the most appropriate virtual package for your needs and receive services that may include mood boards, 3D renderings, expert advice, etc., without any surprises.

#4: Seamless, Stress-Free Shopping

The shopping portion of virtual design packages makes seamless, stress-free selections that save you time and money. Part of my job as your virtual designer is to source products for you based on your specific project, style, and budget, then present you with a curated spreadsheet with links to the products—essentially your shopping list.

Plus, by allowing me to do the legwork, you can rest assured that the items in your product list will be functionally beautiful and classic, ensuring that your money won't be transient with the fads.

#5: Savor the Sense of Accomplishment

If you're ready for a change but suffer from paralysis by analysis, virtual design will be the perfect option. No one wants to spend their weekend taping up paint swatches, rearranging furniture, or trying to space plan for a desired renovation. With virtual design, you can savor the sense of accomplishment by allowing your designer's guidance to be the wind in your sails. Curating a cohesive design can be challenging, and I want to help you to have fun and enjoy the creative process.

Virtual Design With Celeste Jackson Interiors

Virtual design has been a game-changer within the industry and for my business. I have really enjoyed connecting with so many new clients and directing them in recreating their homes, one space at a time. It is completely normal to feel overwhelmed when it comes to re-designing. Many people don't know what their style is, let alone the styles of multiple people within their homes.

This preliminary stage is where I come in. Together, we can zero in on these questions and create mood boards that you feel define the vision you want to create within your walls. Once we capture your vibe, my team will create a few different directions in which we can steer your project. From this point, we can collaborate until we reach your final design to ensure that it aligns with your lifestyle and unique taste.

If you're ready for a home that feels uplifting and up-to-date, I would be honored to help virtually. Reach out, and let's chat!

Warmly,
Celeste
